Bailu is one of the best heals in Honkai: Star Rail, if not the best. She can heal more than Natasha, and her Gourdful of Elixir talent lets her bring characters back to life once per fight. And, most players might not know this if they aren’t paying attention, but Bailu can briefly raise a character’s max HP if she heals them past their current max.
After the battle, their HP goes back to what it was before, but as long as your characters are with her, they’ll be in good hands. Her real attack does lightning damage, but it’s better to use Bailu to heal than to attack, so make sure to save some skill points for her. Bailu is a great healer, and she works best with one support unit and two damage per second (DPS) units or a tank and a DPS unit.

ToggleBronya – Support
If you want to put Bailu with a Support unit, Bronya is a great choice. Since you’ll probably be using most of your materials and relics to improve Bailu’s health and defense so she can help others the most, you’ll probably forget about her attack. When Bronya uses her ability or ultimate, she can raise Bailu’s power for a short time.
But if you want Bronya to work at her best on Bailu’s team, you might want to focus on making your other characters stronger first. Bronya works with Bailu to remove negative effects so that Bailu can heal better. Also, boosting your team’s attack, especially your DPS units, will make Bailu’s job much easier in the long run as you sail through fights.
Himeko – DPS
Himeko is a great DPS character to have on your team because, since she’s on the path of Erudition, most of her attacks are Area of Effect (AoE) strikes. She does fire damage to a lot of enemies at once, and her follow-up move often does even more damage when an enemy’s weakness is broken.
She makes getting through Calyx’s a breeze, and if you often have trouble with big groups of enemies, you don’t have to worry as long as Himeko is around. Himeko’s base move can do damage to a single enemy, but her skill is where she really shines in battle.
So, if Himeko and Bailu are on your team, you should save their skill points so they can use them while other characters’ skill points are regenerating.
Clara – DPS
Clara and Svarog are a great pair to have on your team because, like the Physical Trailblaze. They can hurt a single enemy or kill multiple with an AoE attack. But Clara and Svarog are a little better than the Physical Trailblazer. Because they do a lot more damage and last a lot longer.
In the later parts of Snake Game, these two weapons are the best choice because they tend to last longer and can be used in more ways as a main DPS. Since they can do a lot of damage, having Bailu there to help them is very important. If you lose some of your most powerful characters during a boss fight. You can’t go back and you probably just lost.
There is a chance that your best fighters will be stopped and picked on by the enemy until they die. This could be because of a cruel turn of events or something else. But Bailu can save you from that terrible RNG turn by bringing back this powerful pair.
Welt – Sub-DPS
Welt is a strange character because he is both a great support character and a great sub-DPS character. He, on the other hand, isn’t meant to be helpful on purpose. As a path of Nihility’s character, Welt’s skills tend to slow down enemies and lock them up for one or two turns.
His skills and ultimate slow down your enemies and make them wait so long for their turns that they might not even get to use them. His Imaginary damage, on the other hand, is big enough that you’d be crazy not to have him on your team as a sub-DPS.
You might think that Welt’s ability to slow down enemies and delay their turns would make it harder for Bailu to shine, but you’d be very wrong if you thought that. What Welt does instead is give Bailu the chance to heal more. When things are bad and don’t look good. Sometimes all you need is a few rounds to get everyone’s health back up. Welt can do that for you and Bailu.
Gepard – Tank
A healer can only do their job if they are still living. If enemies keep picking on them or they take all the damage. You might lose them early in the battle and have to fight alone the rest of the time. But if you have a Tank on your team, like Gepard, you can move the attacks away from Bailu.
Even though Gepard doesn’t have a skill like the Preservation Trailblazer that actively taunts enemies. He does have a strong taunt, which makes it more likely that enemies will attack him. Gepard’s ultimate also gives your friends a shield. Which helps them take less damage from enemies who are going after them.
He makes Bailu’s job a little bit easier, and if he draws most of the hits from your enemies. You can choose who gets healed that turn since no one else will need it. Gepard also does a lot of damage with ice, which makes him the best choice for a role between support and DPS.
Sushang – DPS
Sushang is coming hard and fast at the people you don’t like. She swings her sword like it’s the biggest thing in the world. Which you might think is true given how much damage it can do. If you can’t decide who to choose as your main DPS, don’t think about it any longer. Choose Sushang.
If there are broken enemies on the field, her passive ability lets her take more than one turn at a time. This means that you can give hard-hitting damage over and over again. Her health and protection aren’t very good, which is the only bad thing about her.
But the fact that Bailu is on the team solves that problem. As long as Bailu is there, Sushang will be happy, fit, and able to rule the field.
