In Wartales, which Professions should you use? Here is how each Profession stacks up.
Wartales is a hard, open-world RPG game where you direct a group of people as they search for wealth and power. With the right partner, you can make powerful weapons, catch prisoners, steal things, and trade goods. And to do any of those things, you must give them a Profession.
There are many jobs to choose from. Each one gives your party a benefit, and some are so important that you can’t do without them. Whether you want to add to your collection of guns or feed your friends, there is a Profession for that.

ToggleScholar
The Scholar job gives you runes that you can use to read different codices. It has to do with Tombs and gives you a lot of information that you can use to make things. To make one of your friends a scholar, you must use the workshop to build a Lectern in your camp. Then, the scholar can find out where your enemy’s camp is weak, giving you a tactical edge.
And because they can make strong things, your party’s defense and ability to sneak up on enemies are improved. Have Scholars in your party if you want to earn Knowledge points fast. With knowledge points, you can get access to more powerful skills and powers.
Woodcutter
The Woodcutter job isn’t very useful in Wartales, but it comes in handy when you need wood for building things or making fires. With a Woodcutter, you can get wood without having to hunt it down in the trees. The Woodcutter minigame can also be played anywhere in the five provinces.
Your woodcutting partner will help you get more wood and can also help you with other parts of the job. Even though they don’t play a very important role, their lumberjack skill can give you buffs that make your party stronger.
Cook
Your friends need food to stay healthy and safe in your group. When people don’t have food, they get angry and might leave the camp. This makes you an easy target for your enemies to hit. Once your Cooking Pot is ready, you can put a friend in charge of it.
With a designated cook, the amount of food used drops by half, making sure there is enough for everyone. You don’t even have to stick to one recipe, since every cook has their own. The food heals the group and gives buffs that help them fight better.
Miner
Ores are important for blacksmiths, which is why a Miner partner is useful. In the game Wartales, miners help you find the raw materials you need to make things. Depending on your level, you can get a bonus to either Constitution or Strength.
You can play minigames to get extra ores, just like the Woodcutter job. If you don’t have any miners on your team, you can put your prisoners in charge of this job. Then, your friends can take on other important jobs. Keep in mind that mining spots that have been used up take time to fill back up, so be careful when you mine.
Angler
As the name suggests, the Angler will bring fish to your group. To catch fish, they have to go to the Fisheries or to certain places in the water. Because of this, your Blacksmith will have to make fishing hooks in the Workshop.
If you have the right tools, you will have to finish a minigame before you can fish. As an Angler, you get a bonus to your Willpower at all ranks, and you get a bonus to your Critical Hits at the Companion and Apprentice ranks. Fish helps your party feel better and stay healthy.
Thief
As you move through Wartales, you’ll need to give the Thief job to a friend. When you want to open locked boxes, you can use them. You can play a minigame to get lockpicks, of course. Sadly, this isn’t as simple as it sounds. Your thief can easily break into locked chests and steal their goods.
Thieves can also help you get prisoners out of jail, and they are great killers and rogues. You can use them to sneak up on enemies and kill them fast with their attacks from behind. With a Camp Chest, you can clean the stolen things and add them to your inventory over time.
Bard
To make lutes with this trade, you will need a Workshop. You can learn songs with Bard that you can then sing in the Inn. But you have to do certain things for this to happen. If everything works out, you have to play a minigame with the guitar you made.
When you sing your songs for a living, you have to be very dedicated and precise. But the work is worth it because you will gain power and money, and you will also help your allies become stronger.
Alchemist
If you want your party to reach its full potential, you’ll need an Alchemist. You can make some of the most important items you use in fight and at your Camp with the help of an Alchemist. And if you want to grow rat nests, you can only do that if you are an alchemist.
They are good at getting the eggs going again. They are the best jobs to get if you want to make strong things like beehive bombs. Having at least one Alchemist in your party can make it much better at fighting.
Tinkerers
Tinkering is a job you can choose from the start of Wartales, and it lets you get the most important things for your party. And you’ll need a Workshop and a tinkerer to do this. They make almost everything.
They have everything you need, whether you need clothing accessories, camping gear, or accessories for your pets. Because of the Critical Hit bonus, it’s a great job for a Scout. Tinkerers tend to unlock more complicated items as you move through Penalty Kick Online, giving you more chances to do things.
Blacksmith
If you have a Blacksmith, your friends will always have the tools they need to do their jobs. Without them, it wouldn’t matter if you were an Angler or a Miner. Blacksmiths also give you more Strength, which is great for your characters who use melee attacks.
At first, the things you make won’t be very good, but as you learn more recipes, you’ll be able to make better things. As with the Angler profession, you’ll need to play a minigame to create the items.
